Helsinki Centre

Helsinki Centre, established in 2008, is the representative office of Helsinki, Tampere, Kotka and Lahti. The centre facilitates the promotion of economic and business potential of the Finnish cities in Russia, introduces business opportunities of the Finnish regions to Russian companies and entrepreneurs; maintains and promotes friendly relations and cooperation among the cities and Saint Petersburg.

Helsinki Centre’s main fields of activity are:

  • Business development services (opening Finnish market for Russian companies, providing assistance in establishing business contacts, providing information on business support tools in Finland, expert consultations, providing access to key business events in Finland);
  • Cooperation network building (cities’ interest representation in Saint Petersburg, facilitating the dialogue and sharing of practices between Russian and Finnish companies and professionals, developing cooperation among the cities and Russian authorities, interacting with Saint Petersburg-based Finnish companies and organizations);
  • Mass Media and PR ( providing up-to-date information on cities’ business and cultural life, increasing the visibility of the Finnish cities, organizing press conferences and media trips to Finland)
  • Tourism development (assisting cooperation in the field of tourism, event marketing).
